What: Tryout for Backcourt Bulldogs Regional Travel AAU Teams at Riverfront Sports

REGISTRATION DEADLINE for Grades 4th through 8th: February 19th

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED

Where: Practices will be held at Riverfront Sports, University of Scranton, Clarks Summit University, Moosic Youth Center, Lackawanna College, Johnson College, Clarks Summit University and Dunmore Community Center.

TOURNAMENT GAMES will be played in Scranton or within a three-hour radius in such location as Philadephia, Maryland and New Jersey. There is also one trip to Virginia Beach for 2021.

When: The Spring Season runs from tryouts until the end of May

Why: The opportunity to practice and play against players of the same ability and playing experience. To play tournaments in Scranton and other venues within and 2.5 hours of Scranton.

2021 Tryouts Dates & Times

4th – 5th Grade (FALL 2020)
Thursday, February 25th from 5:30pm – 7:00pm
Saturday, February 27th from 10:45am – 12:15pm

6th – 8th Grade (FALL 2020)
Saturday, February 27th from 2:00pm – 3:30pm
Monday, March 1st from 5:30pm – 7:00pm

Boys 9-10-11th Grade (FALL 2020)
Tuesday, March 16th and Thursday, March 18th from 7:30-9:00pm

For Boys 9th, 10th & 11th Grade All players will try out for NEPA Elite and Backcourt Bulldogs and have the option of trying out for both or letting the coaching staff know ahead of time if they are only trying out for NEPA Elite or Backcourt Bulldogs.

Additional Info The tryout cost is $40.00. A late tryout fee of $65 will be charged instead of the original registration fee if payment is not received one week in advance.

Cost: If you make the team the cost will be $550.00 if you are a new or returning player. The cost includes a new uniform this year. An extra uniform is available for $50. We understand that this a big expense, but your son will receive the following.

• 7 Tournaments
• Two practice per week
• A paid professional Coach

This year, we will be using a hotel service to secure hotel room blocks for all Backcourt Bulldogs teams. To be eligible to play, you must use the room block that is designated. You will need to contact Apex-Events. During larger tournaments, you will have several hotel options to choose from. The goal is to make the hotel reservation process easier for the NEPA Elite families and to make your stay more enjoyable, while always keeping price, location and amenities in mind.
